These “MyCash Your Way this Holiday” Promotion (the “Promotion”) Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for a chance to win cash prizes. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.
“We” or “us” means Paymaster (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 9 Molynes Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica. References to “we,” “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.
“I” or “You” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms incorporate the MyCash Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can access via the MyCash App.
If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

  1. What is the MyCash Your Way This Holiday Promotion?

This promotion will run for five (5) weeks and will offer MyCash customers a chance to win cash prizes of either JMD 30,000 or JMD 100,000 by conducting a cash-in, cash-out, bill payment, mobile top-up or P2P via the MyCash App. Each transaction of JMD 500 or more including applicable fees or more conducted by the customer on the MyCash App during the promotional period shall give each customer one (1) entry. Customers are automatically entered into the promotion upon completing any transaction of JMD 500/more excluding applicable fees.

 

  1. What is the promotional period?

    The promotion is valid for the period Thursday, December 1, 2022, 00:01 through to Friday, January 6, 2023, 23:59 (“the Promotional Period”). Paymaster reserves the right to change the Promotional Period at any time upon consultation with and approval by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission and will notify customers of such changes on the MyCash App.

 

  1. Who is eligible to enter the promotion?

To be eligible for the Promotion, you must be a MyCash customer who conducts a qualifying activity (as defined in clause 4) during the Promotional Period.

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

    1. Employees/families of employees of Paymaster (i.e., immediate family members e.g., Father, Mother, Sister, Brother).
    2. Minors are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

 

  1. How does a customer participate in this promotion?
    1. Any MyCash customer who does a cash-in, cash-out, bill payment, top-up or P2P will receive 1 entry for every JMD 500 transacted excluding applicable fees.
    2. Each time a customer transacts JMD 500 excluding applicable fees they will receive one (1) entry into the promotion.
    3. The eligible transactions are below:

  1. Can a customer enter more than once?

    Yes, there is no limit on the number of times that customers can enter the promotion. Weekly entries do not roll over. A MyCash customer cannot win more than once in the promotion during the weekly prizes; for example, if a MyCash customer won in Week 1 they will not be able to win in another week. However, all customers will be eligible to win the grand prizes regardless of whether they won previously.

 

  1. How will the customer be able to query the number of entries into the promotion?

    Customers can query the number of entries they have accumulated by calling the MyCash support centre at 888-935-2274.

 

  1. How are the winners selected?

    Weekly winners will be selected at random from the complete listing of eligible customers received up to that week.

    1. Grand Prize winners will be selected at random from the complete listing of eligible customers received during the Promotional Period.
    2. For each draw, a total of eight (8) customers will be selected. The first 4 will be chosen as the winners, and the additional four (4) are the alternate winners if the MyCash representative is unable to make contact with any of the first four (4) customers.
    3. The entries will be collated in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel will run a script which will randomly select the winners from the list of entries.
    4. Paymaster accepts no responsibility for any failure to have participated in the Promotion by the Closing Time, including but not limited to, any delayed activations for any reason.

 

  1. When will the prize draw be conducted?

    There will be a weekly draw of 4 winners every Friday leading up to the end of the promotion. The final weekly draw will be on the last Friday of the promotion. The grand prize draw will take place the following Monday. All draws will be done at the Paymaster Head Office at 9 Molynes Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica on the specified draw dates at 2PM.

  1. How will winners be notified?

    When a winner is selected, they will be contacted by a MyCash representative who will call the mobile phone number used by the selected winner to participate in the promotion. Attempts will be made to contact the winner(s) twice daily for one (1) week (Mon – Fri). However, if the MyCash representative is unable to contact the winner within the period specified herein, a backup winner will be contacted in the order of selection.

 

  1. Can I transfer my prize to another MyCash customer?

    Once a customer is selected as a winner, the prize must be added to the winner’s MyCash wallet. The prizes are not transferable.

 

  1. How will the prizes be allocated?

    Each of the 4 weekly winners will receive JMD 30,000 to their MyCash wallet. The 4 grand prize winners will each receive JMD 100,000 added to their wallets.

 

  1. What does the selected Winner need to claim their prize?

    The winner will be contacted on the number used to enter the promotion, they will be required to provide their Government issued ID (national ID, Passport, or driver’s license), after which the prize money will be automatically applied to the winner’s account up to 48 hours after being contacted.

 

  1. What if the winner does not collect their prize?

    The Winner has seven working days after being contacted to claim their prize, failure to do so will result in a backup winner will be contacted in the order of selection.

 

  1. How long after being contacted does the customer have to upgrade their account?

    The Winner has seven working days after being contacted to complete the account upgrade process to claim their prize.

 

  1. Why would the customer need to upgrade their account?
    1. The Basic Wallet allows a maximum of JMD 35,000. When disbursing the funds, If the customer’s wallet has reached the maximum allotted; in order for the prize to be awarded they will be required to Cash-out, transact or upgrade to a MyCash Plus account.
    2. It is mandatory for the grand prize winners to have a MyCash Plus account which allows a maximum of JMD 250,000. This will allow them to receive their cash prize of JMD 100,000.

 

Additional Terms and Conditions
  1. This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.
  2. We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate (upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission) this offer if, in our opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.
  3. To participate in this promotion customers can have either a smartphone or feature phone – Android (version 6 or higher) or iOS (version 13 or higher) with their MyCash App downloaded on their device or access the service via USSD (*172# for Digicel customers only) for the duration of the Promotional Period.
  4. The selected winners will be required to upgrade to the MyCash Plus account to ensure they can accommodate the amount of funds.
  5. The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter.
  6. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you upon consultation with and approval by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
  7. We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion upon consultation with and approval by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Paymaster website or the MyCash App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
  8. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Paymaster and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of the Paymaster and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Paymaster and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented.   9. Winners may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a promotion winner along with their winning entry via Paymaster’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No additional payment will be given for this.
  10. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our MyCash App Terms and Conditions of Use.
  11. Paymaster shall not be held liable for any manufacturer’s defect associated with the prizes, nor shall it provide any warranty for the said prizes. The Winner shall be bound by any manufacturer-imposed terms and conditions.
